etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Clayton: Hey everyone, Clayton here at etrailer.com, and today we'll be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier for our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. You might be asking yourself, why do I need a cargo carrier if I have a truck A lot of times, coolers and other things will take up a lot of room and we can get those out of our bed and onto our cargo carrier. And if we're using something tall, and we have a tonneau cover, we can put it back here and it'll go higher than it will if we had a tonneau cover. Although this cargo carrier is made out of aluminum, it still has a nice 500 pound weight capacity, so that's going to be plenty of weight to get anything we might want to take with us on the back of our truck. One thing I like about this cargo carrier is the shape of all of our support beams, it's really easy to get a tie down strap around and secure any of our luggage.Our cargo carrier, the actual usable space, is going to be 58 inches long, 20 and a half inches wide, and six inches deep. Another measurement you want to keep in mind is a measurement from the ground to the back of our cargo carrier. more

Now this cargo carrier is great for getting all those items out of your vehicle and onto the back here, that way there's more leg room for everybody inside on those long trips, or if you're just hauling stuff like bags of mulch or other muddy items or something like that, you can set it in here and it never touches the inside of the vehicle and so it keeps it nice and clean in there. It's got a nice mesh bottom on it here, that way it'll hold up for whatever you put in there. It'll be easy to clean when you go to spray it off. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
Jacob with etrailer here looking at the Reese Steel Cargo Carrier. It's a static carrier on our 2019 Chevrolet Blazer.It's going to be a pretty robust carrier. It's not going to have any folding or tilt down features to be able to reach for more accessibility than our hatch or whatnot. So, it's going to be static, and it will not come with a pin and clip, a hitch pin and clip, or a anti-rattle bolt, so we'll have to pick those up. But other than that, let's take a look at some of the features that this cargo carrier is going to provide for our vehicle.Seems very nice on our Blazer here because we are working with two exhausts. If we're going to have anything that's heat or carbon dioxide sensitive, it's going to be really nice to just send it in the middle here, but also, there's definitely other better configurations that you can figure out. more

Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today at etrailer here, looking at the Curt Cargo Carrier for our 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe.This is a very sturdy and dense cargo carrier. It's going to have complete steel components that is going to allow you up to 500 pounds of carrying capacity. It does have folding functionality, which is very nice when you're not using it. It doesn't fold this way in the briefcase style, but it's okay. That's mostly for when you're not using it, but we can get into that. It's got some finer points that we can get into. more

This is going to be an inch and a quarter cargo carrier that's going to allow us to free up some space in our trunk or in the back seat so we can have more room for other belongings. It's also great for carrying stuff that's dirty or too large to fit in the trunk.Now, when it comes to these cargo carriers, capacity is usually the biggest question and this one has a really good capacity at 300 pounds. Now, that's not the highest capacity cargo carrier we offer, but it is really good for an inch and a quarter. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe. So, when we designed this, we wanted to solve a couple of problems for you guys. A lot of you guys are taking the cargo carrier out and putting it back into the hitch quite often, so that's why we ended up making it out of aluminum, to make it nice and light.It's about 16 pounds, really, really light, and it's going to be really easy to store, just because it's a little bit smaller than your traditional cargo carriers. We're going to have about 60 inches long by about 22 inches wide. The rails only sit up about seven inches, so this going to be great for putting all of your luggage and stuff like that in there, just to free up some of the room in the inside of the Tahoe.When you are going on a trip and you have a bunch of people in there, you want to make sure that they're nice and comfortable. more

Let's get started.Well, first things first, what really sets this apart from all the other products out there, is that it folds up pretty much smaller than my suitcase that I take to the airport with me. So, it's going to be great for you guys who just have a smaller apartment or just not really a lot of space in your garage to be able to store this. It'll fold up really nicely, like this. So, it's going to be easy to store and you can honestly hold it like a suitcase, which is nice.One thing that I really like about cargo carriers, is just to be able to open up the inside of the vehicle, so we can get a lot more stuff on the outside to make everybody a little bit more comfortable.I remember when I was going on a long trip with my family, we had our whole entire family in there and all of our stuff was just piled in with us and it was not too comfortable, and it wasn't really the most quiet ride. more

Adam: What's going on everybody. Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this Cargo Carrier is going to be about 60" long X 22" wide and these rails are going to sit up about 6" from our floor here but what really is going to set this Cargo Carrier apart from some of the others you guys may be looking at is the fact that it is almost all aluminum and it's actually only 18 pounds. So if you guys are one that's probably going to put this thing in and out of your hitch quite often, this is definitely going to be a great way to just relieve a lot of that stress on your knees and your back from lifting and everything like that. Very light but it still gets that 500 pounds of weight capacity that everybody's wanting. more

Colin: Hey everyone, it's Colin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. We've been test fitting some hitch-mounted accessories to it. Right now we have the etrailer.com tilting cargo carrier loaded up. This is a really great accessory for your Equinox. It's going to allow you to get any excess cargo, luggage, any dirty or muddy gear, instead of putting it on the floorboards, you get it on the carrier, strap it down, you're going to be good to go. It'll create more space on the inside if you're just loading up cargo and luggage, and if you want to keep the inside of your Equinox clean with all that muddy gear, it'll do a great job of that as well.Now what's really nice about this cargo carrier is that it's got a lot of space on the inside. more

A lot of the times you get a thinner material in the floors of your cargo carriers and sometimes they flex with heat or with weight. MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're gonna be takin' a look at the MaxxTow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier, with 48-inch long ramp, part number MT70106. Our MaxxTow carrier's gonna make loading anything with wheels easier because of the ramp. Whether it be a lawn mower, snow blower, wheelchair, or even a scooter, it's gonna be a lot easier than picking it up and placing it in it.Now, whenever we do load up our gear, the floor's gonna have a nice, steel mesh on it, which is gonna make it easy to clean and not let grime build up on it. MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on 2013 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be taking a look at the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier With Ramp, part number MT70100. Now this cargo carrier's going to be perfect for carrying a lawn mower, a scooter, or pretty much anything that has wheels that we may need to carry on the back of our truck. Now the way we're going to fold our ramp down is if we come to the side here, we're going to have a pin and clip on each end. Now if we remove the clip we can go ahead and push the pin out and remove it, and we can remove the other side as well. Once we have both removed we can lower the ramp down, allowing us to load up any of our gear. Now our cargo carrier is going to add quite a bit to the back of our truck, so there are a few measurements I'd like to give you. Our ramp for example is going to come in at roughly, right about 40". more

Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be taking a look at the Curt 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18152. This cargo carrier is going to be great whether we just need to free up some space in our vehicle for a few more passengers and pets, or if we just went camping and have some dirty, wet gear that we don't want to put inside. Our cargo carrier does feature some reflectors on the back, that way other drivers will know that we have a carrier, and we have gear behind us.Now the walls inside of our cargo carrier are going to come in just at under 6", and as you can see we're going to have plenty of points for tie downs, that way we can secure our gear. Now the floor is made of a steel mesh, so it's going to be that easy to clean, and also very durable. Now there's a few measurements I'd like to give you. Overall from the outside edge of our bumper, it's going to come out to be about 31-1/2" that we're going to be adding to the total length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at the Curt 20 x 48 Cargo Carrier, part number C18110. Now these cargo carriers are going to be great for freeing up space in your vehicle for passengers or pets, or maybe just getting all your dirty, keeping it outside, and not dirtying up the interior of your car. Now our cargo carrier's made out of a strong, durable steel construction and it has a nice black powder coat finish so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. Now all along the edge here we're going to have multiple tie-down points so we're going to always have somewhere to secure our gear when we're ready to tie it down. I'd like to give you a few measurements just so we know how much we're actually going to be adding to the length of our vehicle. Now from the most outer edge of our bumper this is going to come right about to 25". Now the closest point to our vehicle, it's going to be just a little bit under 6" right here. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the 24 x 60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches, Part Number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds, it has this nice mesh floor here, which makes it easy to clean. We also have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier and that can serve as a tie down point for either you ratchet straps or your bungee cords. This is excellent for keeping sporting goods equipment, things that are wet, camping gear, anything outside of your vehicle to make more space for your family inside. It has a raised shank here, so for vehicles with a little bit lower clearance hitches, there's not going to be an issue between the space of your cargo carrier and the ground. I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple quick measurements now. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge here, we've added about 31" to the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Equinox we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 15" to the bottom of our bolt down there. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 25-3/4". more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Traverse we'll be doing a test fit on the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier. That's part number CC-100. I've already got it loaded up on the Traverse just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work with our Traverse. Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, we'll be doing a test fit on the MaxxTow Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number MT70422. I've already got it loaded up on the Traverse to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to look with our Traverse. It's made out of aluminum, so it's going to be really lightweight and easy to load up into our receiver. Its dimensions are 48 by 21. It has a 500-pound weight capacity. It has an open-plank floor here, so dirt and debris is going to fall right through. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 x 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. This has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and works with 2 inch hitches only. First thing we're going to do while it's attached to our vehicle is take a few measurements starting off with our ground clearance. We're going to have about 16 inches to the bottom of this bolt here. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 25 1/2 inches and our closest point is going to be about 2 inches away there. Now, on our Traverse we do have a single passenger side exhaust although it's up under our fascia here and it comes straight down toward the ground so we don't have to worry about carrying heat sensitive materials in a specific region on our carrier. more

Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're doing a test fit of the Curt, 20x60 cargo carrier, That part number is C18150. It has a weight capacity of 500lbs, and works with 2-inch-hitches. The first thing we're going to want to do is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance, We're going to have about 20-1/4 inches. Now that is because we do have that raised shank-counter-back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. Overall, to our vehicle, we're adding about 26-1/2 inches. Our lowest point down here is going to be about 5-1/4 inches. Now, on our traverse, we do have a single passenger side exhaust, it's up under our facial, but it does come straight down towards the ground, so we don't have to worry about carrying heat-sensitive-materials, in a specific region, on our carrier. As for our hatch, we are going to have a pretty early break over point, since this is relatively close to the vehicle. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado we're going to test fit the Max Tow 48 X 21 Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now this has a 500lbs weight capacity and works with 2 inch hitches only. The first thing we are going to do here is take a few measurements, our ground clearance is going to be first. To the bottom down here we're going to have about 16 3/4 inches, over all to our vehicle we're adding about 29 inches, and our closest point is going to be about 6 3/4 inches away. Now if we lower our tailgate on our Colorado, we'll be able to see how much space it's going to take up when it sits out over the edge, it's going to sit about 10 1/4 inches over the top of our carrier, and we're going to have about 10 1/4 inches between the platform and the tailgate. Keep that in mind whenever you're loading things up, you may want to remove it all before you open that tailgate. As for our exhaust, we have a single passenger side. more
